2 nights at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam City WEst
a good hotel, not too far from the town centre, with a very convenient free car park.

2 night stay 18th July 2010/ 20th July 2010
Hotel and room were comfortable and were reasonable value for Amsterdam. Being within a housing estate, we had concerns over noise, crime etc., but apart from some drunk semi vagrants we passed walking back from the tram, and children throwing a football against the windows (2nd floor!) on the Sunday arrival, nothing untoward happened. Our room was not 'serviced' during our stay, no clean towels, no bathroom cleaned, no bed made, etc..Hard to find the hotel. Free unsecured parking was a bonus. Hotel and room were comfortable and were reasonable value for Amsterdam. poor service
We were very disappointed in the service that we were met with on our visit to Tulip inn. We had made a mistake in doublebooking, both bookings being prepaid and nonrefundable. We understood that perfectly, but as there were people being turned away from Tulip Inn just before our check in, we sugested that they could offer our extra room to someone else who needed the room. The staff flat out refused to help us or anyone else with this. We were surprised at the lack of understanding and service. Kind and helpfull frontdesk employees
I stayed in the hotel because I attented a conference in the Meervaart. I stayed two nights. The personel at the frontdesk was really kind and helpfull. I needed internet access: they provided the wire I needed for that. (Internet for free: Good service!!) I missed a waterboiler in my room, they immediately made someone bring one. They were kind and helpfull. The only thing that was not so good was the fact that there were no 72 houres cards for public transport.
